    On arrival at Entebbe International Airport, meet your Adventure in the Wild Safaris driver-guide after immigration and luggage collection. Receive a short briefing on the journey before a 15–30 minute transfer to your selected Entebbe hotel.

    Relax after your flight. Early arrivals may arrange an optional visit to Entebbe Botanical Gardens, the Uganda Wildlife Conservation Education Centre, Mabamba Bay, or a Lake Victoria sunset cruise.

    After an early breakfast, drive north through Kampala and rural Uganda to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. Join an experienced ranger for guided southern white rhino tracking on foot and learn about the sanctuary’s conservation work.

    After lunch, continue to Murchison Falls National Park and visit the Top of the Falls, where the Nile is forced through a narrow rocky gorge. Continue to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

    Explore Murchison Falls National Park’s northern game-viewing area on an early morning drive through the Buligi tracks and savannah. Look for lions, elephants, buffaloes, Rothschild’s giraffes, Uganda kobs, hartebeests, waterbucks and, with luck, leopards.

    After lunch at the lodge, take the Victoria Nile boat cruise from Paraa Jetty toward the base of the falls. Hippos, Nile crocodiles, elephants, buffaloes and riverine birdlife are commonly seen along the banks.

    Murchison Falls National Park – Kidepo Valley National Park

    Leave Murchison Falls after breakfast and travel through northern Uganda toward the remote landscapes of Karamoja. Stop for lunch en route as the scenery opens into broad savannah plains, rocky outcrops and mountain views.

    Arrive at your Kidepo lodge in the late afternoon or evening. Depending on arrival time, enjoy a short Narus Valley game drive or relax at the lodge.

    Full-Day Wildlife Safari in Kidepo Valley National Park

    Set out for a morning game drive in the Narus Valley, whose permanent water supports large concentrations of wildlife. Search for lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, elands, hartebeests and antelope.

    Return to the lodge for lunch and a rest during the warmest hours, then continue with an afternoon game drive through the valley and surrounding plains. Wildlife sightings are never guaranteed, but Kidepo offers one of Uganda’s most remote safari settings.

    After breakfast, explore the open plains, seasonal riverbeds and rocky hills of the Kidepo Valley, with a possible visit to the Kanangorok area where conditions allow. Return to the lodge for lunch.

    In the afternoon, choose another game drive or an optional Karamojong cultural visit conducted respectfully with recognised local guides. Learn about traditional homesteads, livestock keeping, dance and community life before returning to the lodge.

    After breakfast, check out and drive from the Karamoja region through Kitgum toward Gulu. Stop for lunch along the route or after arrival.

    This overnight stay breaks the long journey from Kidepo to Kibale into more comfortable transfer days. Relax at the hotel, with an optional guided town visit possible if time allows.

    Arrive at your lodge near Kibale Forest in the late afternoon or evening and prepare for the following day’s chimpanzee trekking.

    Transfer to Kanyanchu Visitor Centre for registration and a ranger briefing before entering Kibale Forest with trackers. The chimpanzee trek may take two to five hours depending on the community’s location; once found, visitors normally spend up to one hour observing them.

    After lunch and a rest, take a guided community nature walk in Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary. The walk passes wetland, forest, farmland and village environments with opportunities for monkeys, butterflies and diverse birdlife.

    Take an early game drive through the Kasenyi Plains, when cooler temperatures can make it rewarding to search for predators and grazing wildlife. Return to the lodge for breakfast or enjoy it according to the lodge programme.

    Later, board the Kazinga Channel cruise from Mweya Jetty. The channel between Lake George and Lake Edward attracts hippos, Nile crocodiles, elephants, buffaloes, waterbirds and monitor lizards.

    Drive south through Queen Elizabeth National Park’s Ishasha Sector, searching for the famous tree-climbing lions that sometimes rest in large fig trees. Other possible sightings include topis, buffaloes, elephants, Uganda kobs and waterbucks.

    Continue into the cultivated highlands and rainforest landscapes around Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. On arrival, your guide will help you prepare clothing, packed lunch and equipment for tomorrow’s gorilla trek.

    Attend the Uganda Wildlife Authority briefing and join rangers and trackers for mountain gorilla trekking in Bwindi. The trek can take two to seven hours over steep, muddy forest trails; porters are strongly recommended.

    After locating a habituated gorilla family, spend up to one hour observing them before returning to the trailhead. Meet your driver-guide and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi for a relaxed evening at the lodge.

    After breakfast, check out and leave Lake Mburo for Kampala or Entebbe. A short morning game drive may be possible while exiting the park, depending on your departure schedule.

    Stop at the Uganda Equator in Kayabwe for photographs, souvenir shopping and an optional water demonstration before lunch en route. Continue to your Entebbe hotel, Kampala hotel or Entebbe International Airport; an evening flight is recommended for same-day departures.
