Itinerary Details:
After an early breakfast, you’ll be transferred to the
Bwindi National Park headquarters by 7:30 AM for a comprehensive briefing by Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) rangers. You’ll be assigned to a
gorilla family group and begin your
trek into the forest, guided by armed rangers and experienced trackers.
Depending on the location of the gorilla group, the trek can take anywhere from
2 to 6 hours, covering uneven terrain and dense undergrowth. Once you locate the gorillas, you'll spend up to
1 hour in their presence, observing their behavior, interactions, feeding habits, and even eye contact.
This is one of the most moving wildlife encounters in the world, and it's a privilege shared by only a few thousand people each year.
After the trek, return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation. In the afternoon, you may opt for a
guided cultural walk to visit the
Batwa pygmy community, learning about their traditional forest-based lifestyle and local crafts.

- Hiking boots, gloves, waterproof jacket, long-sleeve clothes
- Insect repellent, snacks, and 2L drinking water
- Camera (no flash allowed), and trekking poles if needed
