Day 1
Kampala to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary to Murchison falls National Park
Wake up early enough for your breakfast as the driver will pick you up to leave Kampala for Murchison falls national park. You will have a stopover at Nakitoma in Nakasongola for a visit to the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, and then you will have your lunch at New court view Hotel in Masindi. Proceed to Murchison falls; check in at the lodge of your preference for dinner and overnight. Day 2
Murchison Falls National Park
Rise early enough for your breakfast and get ready for your early morning game drive at kaniyo pabidi forest in the south of the Murchison falls conservation area to catch the early risers. This forest is a home to many mammals and primates which include: white colobus and blue monkeys, olive baboons, and a habituated chimp group which can be tracked. Other frequent visitors also include; elephants, buffalos, lions and leopards. Many bird species can also be viewed here some of which include; chocolate backed kingfishers, white-thighed hornbill and purels illadopsis which is found nowhere else in East Africa. You will be given sometime to have lunch and relax. After lunch in the afternoon go for a boat cruise to the base of the falls cruising past huge hippo pods, crocodiles, bathing buffalos and numerous aquatic birds to the north bank on the way to the mighty waterfalls. Chances of sighting the shoe bill stork are many though not a guarantee and many more bird species continue up to the bottom of the falls where you will see animals like schools of hippos, crocodiles and many species of birds’ dinner and overnight at your lodge. -
Day 3
Murchison Falls National park.
After the morning breakfast , the guide will take you for a guided swamp and Rabongo forest walk which is known as a birders paradise which will offer you an opportunity to sight the rare shoebill and also other bird species this will be a great experience for the bird watchers since they will be able to increase on their count. After lunch, you will then visit the top of the falls to watch the waters violently compress through a narrow gorge, spraying misty droplets along their wake over a 50m radius. This creates a permanent rainbow over the battle field and causes continuous roar. Check in your lodge for dinner and an overnight. -
Day 4
Murchison falls to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast, the driver will pick you up and you will leave Murchison falls for Queen Elizabeth National Park. Queen Elizabeth National Park is one of the most outstanding treasures of Uganda. You will enjoy the journey since there are very many beautiful types of scenery along the way. You will also be free to stop the driver at any interesting point where you would like to view or take pictures. You will take your lunch in Masindi and later continue to Queen Elizabeth National park. Check in your hotel for supper and an overnight. Mweya Safari lodge and Jacana lodge have excellent services. Ishasha Wilderness camp with lavishness. -
Day 5
Queen Elizabeth National Park
Wake up early for breakfast and then go for an early morning game drive encounter different mammals like: herds of elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, lion, leopard, hyenas etc. Watch different species of birds. Over 500 species have been identified here making it a paradise for bird –watchers some of these birds include Black-bee eater, 11 different species of Kingfisher, several falcons, eagles and raptors. Get back to your hotel for lunch and relax as you wait for the afternoon activity. In the afternoon you will have a launch trip on the Kazinga Channel where you will sight a variety of game mostly marine animals. This waterway joins Lake Edward and Lake George and encounters a school of hippos, buffaloes, crocodiles, waterbucks and a variety of water birds. Catch a glimpse of water birds diving for fish, the Marabou stork, bee-eater and cheeky bronze-tailed starling not to forget the majestic crowned crane. Check in to your lodge for Dinner and Overnight -
Day 6
Queen Elizabeth National Park – Kampala.
After breakfast, you will go and visit the caves in Queen Elizabeth and after get ready to set off for Kampala. Make sure to pass through Isasha so as get an opportunity to glance at the tree climbing lions before proceeding to Kampala. You will be dropped at the airport by the driver where you will catch your flight.What to Carry for your 6 Days Murchison Falls & queen Safari
