3 Days Murchison Falls National Park Safari Tour

Day 1: Kampala - Murchison Falls national park

Your journey to Murchison falls will start at around 7:00 am, our driver/guide will pick you up from your lodge/hotel room. The driver will make a stop at the famous Luwero triangle to visit Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, and then proceed to Masindi town for lunch at Court view hotel. After lunch we continue with our journey to Murchison falls national park but before crossing the water to the other side we shall visit the top of the falls and then cross the Nile with the ferry where you will check in as your entering the lodge, refresh yourself and wait for dinner and overnight. We always prefer our clients to get lodges within the park so as to start our game drive very early in the morning because that time gets when animals have not yet set off for hunting and there are many chances of seeing most of them.

Day 2: Full day Murchison falls National Park

Early morning breakfast is served at around 6:30am and you set off for the game drive through the savanna, along Lake Albert delta, when seeing abundant wildlife as you move slowly in the park as the sun rise. Expect to see these animals like lions, leopards, elephants, hippos, buffaloes, warthogs, giraffes, humorous appearing warthogs. Some of the birds are shoebill stork, the goliath heron- the largest heron in the world- and pairs of elegant grey crowned cranes- Uganda’s national bird. Then break off for lunch at the lodge.

After lunch you set off for boat launch trip up the Nile River with the guide, moving slowly along the river bank viewing animals like crocodiles, an abundance of hippos, antelopes, elephants, buffaloes, plenty of birds like the fish eagle and stork among others.

You will visit top of Murchison falls where the Nile is forced through a narrow gap in the rock. You will view the powerful flow of the falls and the permanent rainbow formed by the water falls. Don’t miss seeing the herds of elephants cooling off, crocodiles enjoying an evening sunshine and hippopotamus frolicking in the water.
End of the day, then back to the lodge for refreshment.

Day 3: Return

Very early in the morning have breakfast of African coffee from the lodge and check out. You then use ferry to cross back as you still view waterfalls and animals from Murchison falls. Our driver then drives you back to Kampala but there will be stopover at Masindi town in court view hotel for African Delicious lunch.

Arrival to Kampala, if it is still early you can take a tour in Kampala or if time is against our wish, the driver will drop you back to the hotel or to the airport to catch up with the flight if you’re going back.
